The Annual Meeting has been rescheduled and will be held on January 20, 2021 7:00 PM open to all members of the association in good standing. We recognize there was confusion based on the past mailings and would like to further clarify. The Radburn Law was amended which impacted this election and required additional measures to allow for a write-in candidate and imposed other election requirements.
The State issued new Regulations pertaining to the Radburn Law regarding Elections in May 2020. These changes impacted this election as follows:
- Reinforces a minimum of 14 day notice of the election overriding the five day minimum notice in the Sturbridge bylaws;
- Requiring ballots to be formatted in a particular manner (candidates listed alphabetically without designating the incumbents) and ballots must include space for write-in votes for as many seats as are up for election;
- Requiring certain notices to owners who are not presently in good standing;
- Requiring anonymous ballots; and
- Confirming that each Unit is only entitled to one vote.
Furthermore, due to the pandemic, and to protect the health and safety of our residents, this year’s Annual Meeting will be held via videoconference.
The ballot and meeting details are being mailed out and you will receive them in the next few days. Please read the information very carefully when returning your ballot.
In addition, we are holding an Open Board meeting on December 28, 2020 at 7pm to review and adopt the 2021 Annual Budget.
