Dear Sturbridge Lakes Residents,
Everyone should know the lakes are closed. There are no lifeguards and we have not begun bacteria testing for the season.
It is unsafe and illegal to swim in the lakes at this time.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SWIMMING ALLOWED AT THIS TIME.
Your board of trustees is working hard to open the lakes for swimming if at all possible.
We are working with the life guard company, our management company, and others, to find the best way to open the lakes safely when possible.
When the lakes finally open, these are not normal times. There will be social distancing and other rules for public safety. If they are disregarded, the lakes will stay closed.
Until the lakes are opened for swimming with lifeguards present, please stay out of the water and make sure your kids stay out of the water.
