Notes from the SLA Trustees meeting

The following are notes and action items relative to last night’s open meeting:

Meeting called to order at 7:35pm (Arch not in attendance) Meeting held via Zoom video meeting due to COVID-19 government mandated social distancing requirements.

Minutes of the March meeting were reviewed and unanimously approved by Board members in attendance.

Open Forum – Ruth Sinibaldi ,13 Signal Hill Drive, addressed the board regarding Chatham Lake not being part of the lakes that were lowered this year and future lake lowering procedures and rotation. The board is looking to various options to address lowering of lakes in the future. Loree Davis, 118 William Feather Drive, addressed the board regarding the installation of additional speed humps on William Feather Drive.

February Financials and March Arrears Reports were reviewed

March Invoices were approved to be paid

ake Lowering was discussed. Lake #5 is at normal level. Lake #3 is 14 inches below normal. Should be at normal level by Thursday April 2nd. Engineering Firm working on dam box modifications.

Lifeguard Contract was reviewed. Board is waiting for Candlewood to provide contract options should beaches not open on Memorial Day due to COVID-19 pandemic health crisis. Management is waiting on activity tags and will discuss mailing of tags and 2020 beach materials with board prior to mailing out.

Board approved Investment of $50,000.00 of PNC Bank funds in Merrill Lynch recommended investment account.

Board approved H & H Landscaping proposal to treat bagworm infestation at Foxview Beach evergreens.
