I received the following message:
Mr. Corson,
My neighbor sent me this email from the Laker, and this is our bird!!
We actually had 2 of them….and 2 weeks ago while gardening outside, I had the bird cage on our deck. I went inside to take a phone call, and came out to see my bird cage on the ground. When I approached it, a large chicken hawk came out from behind the shrubs and flew off. I could see our blue parakeet in his clutches as he flew off!! I assumed Kiwi (the green one) was in his mouth as I could only see the hawk from behind as it flew away. I had hoped that Kiwi got away, but searched our entire yard. We thought we heard him a few times…hoping e had gotten away but could not find him.. Needless to say my daughter was devastated to have her pets die at the claws of a hawk! I am attaching a picture she sent me of our 2 parakeets from a few weeks ago.
