Polar Plunge 2012

The weather cooperated today and we had a fantastic Polar Plunge! It was the highest participation ever with an estimated 150 SLA residents there.
Ed Ferruggia took the Plunge video that is available on YouTube at this address:

I will be publishing picture galleries as well but for the moment, enjoy the video.

The event raised over $720 for Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge. Thanks to the Signal Hill Girl Scout Troops whose members’ donations overflowed the picnic table area to fulfill the Refuge wish list.

Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge not only provides educational programs but also rehabilitates wild animals so that once injured animals may return to their natural habitat.

Cedar Run had a guest appearance from a hawk that was a truly impressive bird.

Look for the upcoming picture galleries.

Those that came, please tell all your friends what a great event this was and be sure to come next year.
