Please Register And Attend Thursday’s Zoning Board Zoom Meeting

This is an update on the Monarch Development project which is to be heard by the Zoning Board this Thursday at 7PM. See site plan images below.

You must pre-register to attend the Zoom meeting. The link to register is below.

There are a number of things which concern us about this proposal. Here is a partial list.

1 The project includes approx 120 independent living apartment units, which is not a permitted use.

2 The buildings are 3 stories high and would be too close to our homeowners properties on Whitby and Tarnsfield Courts.

3 An enormous number of mature trees would be clear cut and replaced (in small part) by an inadequate landscape buffer.

4 There is a major stormwater drainage issue because the developer intends to run ALL of the water to an inlet behind Whitby Court, and from there down the stormwater system to Antietam Pond.

SLA has met with the developer multiple times, with no satisfactory result.

At this time we have no option but to oppose the development and its serious adverse impact on our environment and standard of living.

Please register to attend the Thursday Zoning Board zoom meeting, and plan on speaking in support of your neighborhood.
