Due to a recent increase in vandalism and non-resident trespassing in our common areas, we are taking additional steps to protect our community. We would like to take a moment to remind everyone of the Sturbridge Lakes Association’s Common Grounds, Boating & Fishing, and Beach Rules.
Along with lifeguards checking resident activity tags during regular hours, volunteers and security will also help monitor the common areas after hours. Volunteers will greet you as a member of the SLA board, and the security guard you will see wearing a black shirt with a Semper Secure logo and the words SECURITY on the back of their shirt. The security company you will also see with the Security on the side of the vehicle and a yellow light on top of the vehicle.
The common grounds are open to residents from dawn to dusk (meaning they are closed after sunset until sunrise the next day to everyone including residents). Please enjoy the common grounds only during these hours.
Rules and Regulations:
All residents and guests must wear a current-year resident or guest activity tag when using any common areas, including beaches and lakes.
Tags are issued only to residents/families in good standing with all fees paid.
Tags must be visible at all times. Anyone without a visible tag will be asked to leave. If they refuse, legal action may be taken, and future access may be suspended.
Everyone, including guests, must display a valid tag when enjoying the common areas.
Swimming in the lakes is only permitted during the summer season at lifeguarded beaches, and only when lifeguards are on duty between 11 AM and 7 PM.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep Sturbridge Lakes safe and welcoming for all our residents and their guests. If you see anything suspicious or criminal activity you will continue to call 911 and the Voorhees Police Department will respond.
