To ensure the safety of our residents enjoying our common areas throughout our community, please remember it is both a Sturbridge Lakes Association policy and Voorhees ordinance for the common grounds that no resident or their guest should let a dog run free.
Voorhees Township 92.21 mandates that no dog or cat shall run at large. Dogs must be on a leash and controlled while walking to and from any of our common areas. Ordinance 92.22 requires that the dog’s owner must be able to control the animal when on a leash.
Dogs are not permitted to run free anywhere in the township (except when in the gated dog parks) It is a danger to people and to other pets. If dogs or cats are seen roaming unattended, call the police non-emergency number at 856-428-5400. If the animal appears dangerous or poses a threat, call 911.
Furthermore, Animal feces, including dog feces, is detrimental to the health of the lakes and the welfare of the residents. Please be considerate when walking pets by picking up and disposing of feces in the trash. Put the feces in plastic bags before depositing in the Association trash cans.
