Sturbridge Lakes Association Fireworks Usage Policy Common Areas

This policy prohibits the use of fireworks in the common areas of the Sturbridge Lakes Association (SLA) grounds. The intent of this policy is to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, prevent potential fire hazards, and comply with the laws of New Jersey regarding fireworks usage.

This policy applies to all residents, tenants, and guests of the SLA common areas. It covers all types of fireworks, including but not limited to, sparklers, firecrackers, roman candles, and aerial shells.

Policy Guidelines:

Prohibition of Fireworks Usage:

a. Fireworks are strictly prohibited in all common areas of the SLA grounds.

b. No individual may possess, ignite, or discharge fireworks within the SLA common areas.

Reporting Violations:

a. Any resident or individual who witnesses a violation of the fireworks usage policy should report it to the SLA management promptly.

b. Reports can be made by emailing trustees@sturbridgelakes.com calling the management company.

Enforcement and Consequences:

a. The SLA management reserves the right to take appropriate action against individuals found in violation of this policy.

b. Consequences for violating the policy may include warning notices, fines, suspension of certain privileges, or legal action, as deemed necessary by the SLA management.

c. Offenders may face legal consequences as per applicable laws, charges will be pressed.

Legal Compliance:

a. This policy aligns with the laws and regulations governing fireworks usage in the state of New Jersey.

b. The SLA management shall stay informed about any updates or changes in the relevant legislation and amend this policy accordingly.

Review and Amendments:

This policy shall be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Any necessary amendments or updates shall be made in consultation with the SLA board and legal counsel, keeping in mind the best interests of the residents and the overall safety of the community.
